Inpatient Care

When the patient requires greater attention

In general, majority of patient care is conducted at home. Patients tend to find home to be of greatest comfort because they remain closed to what is familiar and their loved ones.

At times a patient may require greater attention than that which can be provided at home. Comfort Hospice & Palliative Care is required to offer 24 hour symptom management for these severe instances that generally cannot be relieved at home. Our Inpatient care utilizes a partner facility, usually hospital or nursing home. These settings can ensure a continuous, intensive care procedure to assist the patient in managing their symptoms.

Our inpatient settings are much more relaxed than traditional hospital settings, and provide dedicated attention to the patient. The setting provides a cozy atmosphere with around the clock care. Despite the setting being much calmer, rest assured the staff are working aggressively in caring and alleviating the patient’s symptoms.

The following cases can qualify for inpatient care:
  • Severe pain
  • Uncontrollable nausea or vomiting
  • Uncontrollable Seizures
  • In addition to many other sever cases
